Arnie Abens founded Abens Financial Services (AFS) in 1987. An effective and widely recognized investment advisor, Arnie was named one of the "best financial advisors" in the country by Worth magazine for five consecutive years (1996-2001). Arnie's vision for his practice is to put the client's needs at the center of every decision. "We've been successful in part because we understand what people are looking for in addition to performance," he says. "Our clients also want someone who cares about them."

Arnie has spoken to numerous consumer and industry groups, including the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He has been frequently quoted by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and his views have appeared in such publications as Financial Planning and Investment Advisor. He has also been a regular guest expert for various television and radio stations including Bloomberg Television and Radio, WCCO Radio, KARE-11 Television and KTIS Radio, and Fox News Channel Television.

Arnie holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses from the NASD, and life insurance license in the State of Minnesota. 


Arnie received his BA degree from Bethel University in St. Paul. He serves on boards and committees for a number of organizations, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Minnesota Family Council, and American Investors Bank and Mortgage. Arnie resides in Edina, Minnesota with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children. He enjoys involvement with his children's many activities, as well as boating, reading, golf and traveling.
