Return
on Investment (ROI)
The dollar amount of your investment earnings divided by the dollar amount of your investment. ROI is expressed as a percentage. For example, if you have a $1,000 investment that earns $100 you will have a 10 percent return on investment: 100 (earnings) divided by 1,000 (investment) =.10 (or 10 percent).Back to 'R' Terms Back to Glossary Main Page |
